Name: Jintetsu (originally Kurogane Jin)
Working Name: Hagane no Jintetsu
Age: 18
Summary: An enigmatic street samurai who specializes in assassination. He's beginning to accrue a reputation in the criminal underworld, both for his remarkable skills (mostly true) and his heartlessness (entirely false). It's rumored he used to work for the Yakuza, but he doesn't discuss his past.
Appearance: Somehow manages to look even younger than he actually is. 5'4" tall, very lean build, Japanese ethnicity. Very long black hair, usually in ponytail. His left arm is cybernetic, but looks outdated; it has four fingers and a thumb, and articulates well, but it's grey in color and obviously artificial.
Wears a metal mask at all times, repurposed from the faceplate of a very old scrapped android. Right eye is completely concealed by mask, cloth bandana, and hair; predictably, he can't see out of that one.
Wardrobe: Form-fitting bulletproof armor under his clothing (looks like a black turtleneck, almost). He typically wears kimono-style shirts, skinny jeans, bulky shoes, and a long, loose-fitting coat. Wears the same two or three outfits a lot. Carries a strange-looking katana on his back, and also a duffel bag sometimes.
Living situation: Homeless in the long term. He chiefly stays in motels or abandoned buildings, no more than a week and change at a time.
Vehicle: Primary vehicle is a homemade motorcycle cobbled together out of spare parts. (He didn't build it, he just bought it from the guy who did.) It's not stylish, only seats one, has poor fuel efficiency, and can't maintain highway speeds... but hey, nobody wants to steal it.
Abilities: Cybernetically enhanced speed, reflexes, and strength. Military-grade neuromechanical interface. Custom-built cybernetic arm, incorporating several concealed weapons. Specialized combat training, especially with bladed weapons at short or melee range. Trained in firearms as well, but has below-average marksmanship due to compromised depth perception.
Haganemaru: Jintetsu's talking katana. Has some red LED lines and a functioning eyeball built into the hilt. Haganemaru is probably some kind of AI, though his origin is unclear. Capabilities include: seeing (eyeball), speaking (voice is synthesized but sounds mostly natural), limited networking (max range < 3 feet), and being a sword. Also, thinking! He's very good at thinking.
Jintetsu has no voice, so Haganemaru speaks for him. (That part hasn't changed.)
